The concept takes its cues from the 2 most compelling qualities of the site: the beautiful river and canal bounding the west and southern edges of the site, and the dense grouping of forest trees that accentuate these river canals. There- fore, water and trees define the primary landscape palette and ordering devices for the masterplan concept.
